1K Dreams Info

So I mentioned that 1kDreams is my current focus of development, but there's not much information out there about it aside from "hey, look at this! LOOK AT IT!" in regards to a couple of random pictures.

This post aims to fix a little bit of that.
“Dream, Aisling. Forever and ever, grant us prosperity.”

A favorite song of the people of Somnia,  the “Hymn of the Goddess” tells a tale of the sleeping goddess, Aisling, who fled to her ethereal palace to escape the sins of humanity, only to be woken when the time came to lead the righteous to paradise. In some nations it is only a legend, in others it is gospel. The current state of the world of Sanista has brought about a surge of religious fervor that seeks to find comfort from both gospel and legends.

Corruption spreads across the land, the seas swell with torment — the very air itself seems to be becoming bitter and stale. A blight known as the Taint has been responsible for this destruction; it reduces the areas it smothers into twisted landscapes, full of ferocious beasts called Marzanna. These beings and the Taint itself are considered a malignant force of nature, and people everywhere have been seeking to find a way to put a stop to these threats.

Not even the dreams of Sanista's denizens are safe. Many have been having prophetic visions of the goddess pleading for their help, directing them to a temple in Somnia dedicated to her worship. These dreams instill a burning desire in those who have them, making them irresistible to all but the most strong-willed.

Our story begins when Eliana Oleastro begins having these strange dreams while doing a seemingly routine job...

...Melodramatic intro aside, there's the basic setup for the story. I actually have it planned out from start to finish, wowzers! THERE'S EVEN ADEQUATE PACING. I get too excited over these things sometimes, I swear. Eliana mentioned up there is the protagonist; I'll put out more information about her some other time. Expect the next post I get around to making to deal with some of the gameplay features I'd like to implement. Either that, or some of the art I've drawn for the project.
But for now, here's a little header to showcase sprite and face style~!
